March 2022 Sustainable Investment Update

As the war in Eastern Europe wages on, policymakers have wrestled with enforcing punitive measures on Russia at the expense of higher inflation and diminished energy security for the rest of the world. This month, we consider the potential for reduced demand instead of replaced supply as a means to lessen Russian energy dependency. In addition, we review corporate issuers’ increasing willingness to demonstrate their alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as implications of the SEC’s recently proposed climate disclosure requirements.
