Credit Analyst – Finance Sector

LIM is seeking a Credit Analyst with experience covering the Financial sector to join our Boston-based corporate bond research team. The candidate will work in partnership with Portfolio Managers and Traders to implement investment recommendations consistent with our client’s objectives of protecting downside while generating consistent, attractive total returns.
The candidate is expected to have developed an appreciation for, and skill base in, risk management, together with evidence of investment acumen and superior analytical skills. A track record of security selection is required.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth fundamental credit analysis on the financial sector, including banks, brokers, and insurance companies, across both the investment grade and high yield universe;
  • Create historical and forward looking financial projections and analyze credit metrics;
  • Independently construct investment opinions, trading recommendations, and industry outlooks, and assess relative value metrics to identify investments with attractive risk-adjusted profiles;
  • Develop views on economic, competitive, and regulatory developments that affect the financial sector and companies under coverage.

Compliance Associate

Job Description
The compliance associate's primary focus will be implementing and testing the firm's compliance policies and procedures. The position will report to the Cheif Compliance Officer and Assistant Cheif Compliance Officer.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Implement and test the firm's compliance policies and procedures and resolve any issues notes
  • Stay current on regulatory updates and guidance
  • Prepare regulatory filings
  • Respond to recurring and ad hoc client due diligence questionnaires and reporting requests

Portfolio Analyst

Job Description
The fixed income portfolio analyst’s primary focus will be surveilling institutional client portfolios across US dollar denominated and primarily investment grade mandates. The position will report to the portfolio manager of the designated strategy.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Interact closely with portfolio managers, research analysts and traders to ensure timely and accurate maintenance of portfolio analytic targets across a variety of portfolios:  including curve, duration, quality and sectors objectives
  • Prepare customized reports for clients, using portfolio management software and analytical tools 
  • Help to effectively implement ideas across portfolio mandates with different constraints
  • Gather and disseminate portfolio objectives to the research and trading teams on a consistent basis to ensure continuity among strategies

Portfolio Operations Manager

Job Description
LIM is seeking a Portfolio Operations Manager with a background in portfolio/fund accounting, reconciliations, and settlements. This position requires prior successful experience leading and managing a team as well as a strong familiarity and knowledge with complex fixed income securities, such as mortgages and other amortizing instruments.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Portfolio Accounting team in timely, efficient, and successful execution of daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks
  • Proactively providing complete and accurate information and reporting to all parties, including the investment team and other internal departments, clients and consultants, and their service providers
  • Taking ownership for operational issues that are raised and providing resolution and/or escalating in a manner that considers the impact to both internal and external parties
  • Responding to all internal and external inquiries promptly and courteously
