BOSTON, MA, September 19, 2023 – Longfellow Investment Management Co., LLC (LIM) is pleased to announce that Deena Raja joined the firm on September 18 as a client portfolio manager in a newly created position. She is a member of the investment team and will participate in internal investment strategy and research discussions while also utilizing her experience to engage with clients, consultants, and other investors to convey LIM’s outlook and positioning across fixed income, equity, and absolute return strategies. She will report to David Horsfall, principal and portfolio manager.

Deena has more than 25 years of investment industry experience. In addition to managing portfolios, she has a strong background in credit trading and risk management. Deena also has experience with overall firm operations including systems vendor management and talent recruiting.

Most recently, Deena was a principal, chief risk officer and senior portfolio manager at Barksdale Investment Management. In this role, she was a portfolio manager on core, intermediate, short duration, and enhanced cash portfolios and had oversight responsibility for portfolio risk across all mandates. Prior to Barksdale, Deena was a vice president and portfolio strategist at Prime Advisors managing more than $6 billion in fixed income assets. She also held corporate trading roles at Fifth Third Bank and First Tennessee Capital Markets.
