LIM partners with the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts
BOSTON, MA, December 5, 2023 – LIM Partners with BECMA
Over the last decade, LIM has proudly supported the Greater Boston community in several ways, constantly evolving our effort to the meet needs of our community and the capabilities (and size) of our firm. Our employees have consistently offered their time and resources to several wonderful non-profit organizations focused on generating positive outcomes related to education, healthcare, women’s issues, and inner-city youth. This year our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) team explored ways in which LIM could redefine our charitable commitment to achieve a greater, more tangible impact while also providing broader involvement opportunities for our employees.
We are proud to announce that LIM will be partnering with the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA) to help address barriers faced by Black-led businesses and foster a more inclusive and prosperous business landscape for Massachusetts. BECMA’s network includes businesses of all sizes and stages in their development, and its mission is to connect these firms with both service providers and capital to help them grow. Our IDEA team felt that a strategic, multi-year engagement with BECMA would allow LIM to achieve a deeper level of impact align closely with a local small business in a manner that extends beyond simply writing a check.
Our partnership kicked off last month, as we were joined by BECMA President & CEO Nicole Obi and Chief of Member Engagement Mack Charles to discuss ongoing challenges faced by its network members, as well as Black founder Jessika Rozki of Rozki Rides, a small business that provides transportation services to underserved communities in and around Springfield, MA. LIM employees selected Jessika to receive LIM’s employer-match contributions and will be volunteering their time to provide her with technology, financial planning, and administrative support.
