LIM Once Again Named to Top 100 Women-Led Businesses List

BOSTON, MA, October 28, 2022 — Longfellow Investment Management Co., LLC (LIM) is pleased to be recognized as one of the top 100 women-led businesses in Massachusetts for the third time. The Women’s Edge (formerly known as The Commonwealth Institute) partnered with the Boston Globe to present the 2022 edition of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. The list was released today, October 28, at a celebratory breakfast and will be published in the Women & Power issue of the Boston Globe Magazine on October 30th. LIM was honored to be included in the Top 100.

These 100 organizations generated nearly $76 billion in total revenue in 2021. This year’s honorees represent a diverse range of fields, spanning education, healthcare, construction, finance, and more, illustrating the breadth of women’s leadership across the Commonwealth.

This is the 22nd year that The Women’s Edge — a Boston-based nonprofit organization devoted to advancing women in leadership positions — created the list through a nomination process and reviewed both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. In addition to revenue or operating budget, factors considered in the evaluation included workplace and management diversity, board makeup, and innovative projects.

“We are proud to be included in this impressive group again this year,” said Barbara McKenna, President and CEO of LIM. “As a majority women-owned business, we hope recognition such as this inspires others to strive for success and continue to expand diversity across industries.”

Founded in 1997, The Women’s Edge is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to propel women leaders to achieve personal and professional success and deliver positive impact within their businesses and communities.
